Please Note: The prices in the table below are offered at 25% below retail and are available to anyone whether or not hosted at Net Locations. If you are, or are about to become, a Net Locations customer, then we offer an additional discount of 20% below retail. Our email backup and continuance services can be purchased as an add-on on the order pages for all hosting plans.

- What are Email Backup Services?
When your mail server is not accessible by others you have a chance of losing valuable emails. These lost emails can result in lost sales and lost revenue. You can prevent this today by using Net Location's Backup Mail Service. It's affordable at just $3.90 monthly (or less) per domain! and goes beyond similar services by allowing you to view queued email by logging on to your Net Locations account. You also avoid those embarrassing bounce backs that most senders simply don't understand.
How it works:
Net Location's mail backup service acts as your secondary priority mail server. If your mail server cannot be reached, the mail will be routed to our redundant mail backup servers and held in queues. Our servers will keep checking your mail server every 10 minutes. Once your mail server is detected available, our mail server will forward the emails to your mail server. Our mail server will keep attempting to deliver mail to your server for 14 days. Our Web interface is provided to check queued emails and read your emails even when your mail server is down. Our backup MX service comes standard with DNSBL filtering and virus filtering.
By making a simple DNS change and adding our secondary mail exchange (MX) records we're ready to queue messages for you in the event your mail server goes offline. Your administrator account can view all the queued messages for your account on our systems. - What are Email Continuity Services?
Our Email Continuity Services work in tandem with our Email Backup Services. As the song says: "you can't have one without the other". The service allows you to conduct business as normal when your primary mail server happens to go offline. Here are the benefits:
- Each user on your domain can login to view their individual mailbox and create, reply-to or forward queued messages.
- Users can also send and view email attachments
- The administrator you can manage email continuity users and any domain aliases using our simple browser-based GUI.
Our Email Continuity Premium Services add the following benefits.
- Users can receive their queued messages using Microsoft Outlook or any other standard email client that supports POP or IMAP access
- Users can also send outbound email through our STMP service using their email client.

- Do we Filter Your Email?
Yes we filter all your emails for viruses and we also filter for spam utilizing popular RBL's or DNSBL's as well as heuristic filters.
- How secure are our services?
Servers are located in a state of the art data center with limited access; only you can view stored messages on our servers - no one else has access. In addition we use a secure SSL connection between our servers and your browser for secure communications.
- How you can manage your email continuity service?
You will have a web-based administration area that will allow you to manage any or all users allowed for your particular plan. You can add/delete users, modify their passwords, send them their login information or add aliases to their email addresses. Email will be queued for all users as this is a standard function of the email backup services - the continuity services add more features and you can choose how many users need these services.
- Do we provide a Web GUI to view your emails?
All accounts provide a web interface with the ability to view queued messages. If more advanced e-mail functionality is desired such as the ability for each user at your company to login and view their individual messages as well as be able to send or reply to messages you can add our email continuity service to any domain.
- More information about message size, storage space, etc
- The maximum message size is 35MB
- Currently there is no cap on the number of emails we queue for your domain.
